Die Kopie der Evangelien entstand 1474 in Ratzeburg, als der Schreiber Johannes Meyer dort Kanoniker war. Die historiographischen Texte (140v-141r und 210r-v) wurden später nach der Vereinigung mit dem Druck, d. h. nach 1481, eingeschrieben.
